Restorative yoga for the body and mind – 20 minutes
For this restorative yoga session, you will need a few pillows and some space against a wall for your legs to rest up against. The aim of the session is to relax the body and the mind easing. The postures are designed to help assist with high blood pressure and boost the immune system, as well as easing anxiety.
If you do not have enough wall space then you can use the end of the bed or a sofa for your legs to go over – the positions will be slightly different but you will still get all of the restorative benefits.
If you have yoga bricks, blocks, and a bolster these may also be used. If you are pregnant please keep your hips grounded on the floor at all times and seek specialist pre and post-natal yoga instruction.
